David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known by his stage name as Davido is a famous Nigerian singer, songwriter, recording artiste, stage performer, model and a philanthropist. He was born on 21st November 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America to Chief Deji and Vero Adeleke. He is currently 25 years old. His father is a billionaire and Nigerian business magnate while his late mother was a university lecturer.
Davido is originally from Ogun State in the western part of Nigeria. Davido completed his primary school education in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America. After which he returned to Nigeria with his family and attended the British International College in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria and obtained his Senior School Certificate.
After completing his secondary school education, Davido proceeded to Oakwood University to study Business Administration but could not complete his studies because of his interest in music. In 2011, Davido was admitted to Babcock University in Ogun State, Nigeria and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music.
In 2011, Davido became highly famous in Nigeria after releasing the hit single “Dami Duro” a music that brought him to limelight. The music was well received throughout Nigeria. On 7th May 2011, Davido produced and released his first debut studio album “Back When” with hit single like “Dami Duro”. The album sold million copies in Nigeria and abroad. The singles from the album where topping at the MTV charts as of 2011.
